Looking from the point of benefit for the State of Goa, Western Classical music is the right answer for many ails in the state. The most recent conducted research on Tourism in Goa concludes:

“Noisy EDM music festivals during the peak tourist festive season which in turn translate into more drug peddling, flesh trade huge, increase in prices....are also the main reason for foreign tourists avoiding Goa ... .The EDM festivals during the Christmas week change the entire logistics, economy and eco-system of Goa making it unsuitable for both the rich foreign tourist as well as the low-budget tourist “(Forum for Fairness & Good Governance in India).

 

Culture and Classical Music in particular have been proven in many affected areas worldwide as a remedy against the destruction of the fabric of a society by tourism.

And apart from that, students and the many local musicians will benefit. Music education is part of the festival and will help lift the quality levels.

 

Finally the local music lovers and tourists will come at their cost. Apart from these, there is steady growth and appreciation of Western Classical music due to the indisposed income in the hands of middle class families in the cities across India. More and more Indians will get exposed to Classical Western Music in near future.
